Harvest and transportation to plant

Turmeric (Ukon) grown by more than 220 contract farmers in the Yambaru region is harvested and brought to our plant.

03. Peeling

Peeling the skin will reduce the amount of bacteria.

04. Sterilization treatment with hypochlorous acid water

Turmeric (Ukon) grown by more than 220 contract farmers in the Yambaru region is harvested and brought to our plant.

05. Slicing

After it’s been treated with hypochlorous acid water, turmeric (Ukon) is cut into slices about 1 mm thick.

06. Sun-drying on drying screen

Turmeric (Ukon) slices are individually spread out to ensure that they dry evenly.

07. Mechanical Drying

The turmeric (Ukon) placed on the drying screen is put in a dryer at a temperature of 73 ℃ for 15 to 24 hours.

08. Coarse grinding

Turmeric (Ukon) slices are individually spread out to ensure that they dry evenly.

09. Fine grinding

The coarse turmeric (Ukon) powder is ground more finely to be used in supplements.

10. Extraction of turmeric (Ukon) oil from coarse powder

After coarse grounding, oil is extracted from spring and autumn turmeric (Ukon) to be used for supplements (spring turmeric (Ukon) ) and soap (autumn turmeric (Ukon) ).

11. Introduction into filling/packaging machine

Autumn turmeric (Ukon) is introduced into a filling/packaging machine to be made into Tea packs of Kangen turmeric (Ukon) tea.
